Environmental Test Chambers - KB series
If your lower temperature specification is lower than the capability of the PH chamber series (<20º Celsius) or your environment isn't controlled (like a warehouse), we'd recommend going with a compressor driven cooling system as found in our KB series environmental chambers
All of these models feature hot gas by-pass technology which controls the temperature of the epoxy coated evaporator for greater uniformity. Compressors in our KB series of environmental chambers come with a three year warranty - which is the longest in the industry. All of these models run with 0.25-0.67hp compressors making them efficient enough to run on 15 amp, 110 volt circuits. Larger, higher capacity compressors are available as well.
The KB09 unit comes with a powder-coated galvanized exterior (color requests are possible for an upcharge) and a 304 series stainless steel interior. This unit is designed to be placed on the lab bench or even stacked with optional racking. Requests for different construction materials can be made (such as 316 stainless steel or aluminum). Insulation is 2" polyurethane foam.
The KB030, KB055, and the KB084 environmental chambers are all freestanding units with 1, 2, or 3 doors. These units come standard with a brushed aluminum interior and exterior that looks much like stainless steel. These units can also be ordered with 300 series stainless steel exteriors and interiors. Insulation is 2" polyurethane.
All KB series environmental testing chamber models are designed to have a temperature range of 4-60º Celsius. Temperatures greater than 60º Celsius or lower than 4º Celsius can be achieved with optional upgrades to construction and components. We can go over these options with you when you call.
These environmental chambers have humidity ranges from ambient to 90% standard using our ultrasonic humidity generators. Humidity ranges lower than ambient can be achieved with different air dryers or sometimes a simple compressed air connection. Humidity ranges in excess of 90% may require optional construction or component changes. We can go over these options with you when you call.
All KB series environmental chambers come standard with Fuji's PXG4 microprocessor, but we often install Watlow brand microprocessors for customers that need that brand or the capabilities it has. Unlike many proprietary controllers on the market, these controllers are available off the shelf and have been proven in tens of thousands of installations. All necessary functions are included as standard and include: Autotuning, Fuzzy Logic, PID control, programmable alarms, calibration capability, offset capability, simplified ramping, etc. A touchscreen control interface is optional, but not required. Many additional options are available both regarding control and recording of data (chart recorders & loggers).

The KB series environmental chambers are supported with a full array of service options such as
white glove installation, commissioning, protocol writing, validation services (including IQ/OQ/PQ), preventive maintenance, on-site repairs, and on-site chamber renovations.We also perform these services for chambers produced by other manufacturers, throughout the U.S. and world-wide, where applicable.
All of these chambers can be ordered with the Darwin Discovery Series 7” Touchscreen control panel providing a simplified graphical user interface to environmental chamber controls. Temperature, Humidity, Lighting, and many other functions can be controlled from one device, with all of the latest technologies including:
